SERV

SERV is the umbrella organization for community service at Olin. We are here to Support, Encourage, and Recognize Volunteerism in every form in the community. We support the core value of Philanthropy within the College. We carry out those ambitious goals through a number of different activities:

• Keeping track of recurrent volunteering activities, or "projects"
• Support project leaders
• Fund projects and one time events
• Recruit new project team members
• Communicate with external service organizations
• Hold large one time events for the entire community to be involved in!

and generally ensure that community service is alive and well at Olin.

There are currently 7 members on the 2010-2011 SERV Board that are just dying to meet you. Come and talk to us, email any of us individually, or contact us through the SERV email address: volunteer@olin.edu.

• Rachel Nancollas is the glorious SERV Chair and is in charge of managing the rest of the board. Because, you know, they're a rowdy bunch. In addition, she also organizes general SERV events at Olin (like the SERV Kick-off) and other important meetings.
• Rebecca Schutzengel is this year's Director of Communications. He is in charge of sending annoying spam to All Students, managing the SERV website, publicity for SERV, and helping with other SERV events.
• Hannah Sarver is the director of External Relations. She looks around for outside volunteer organizations Oliners can get involved with, keeps track of the SERV inbox, and updates this website.
• Torie Hamilton is the Friday Service Director! She is in charge of organizing fun, one-time service activities each and every Friday during Friday Service Time from 3-5pm. Join her, won't you?
• Harold Jaffe is in charge of Finance and Records! Besides helping out with events, he is the master of the minutes and keeps the money flowing smoothly.
• Brendan Quinlivan is a General Member! He takes charge of individual projects and votes on board issues. As a general member, he is also generally awesome.
• Jordyn Burger is our second General Member! She is also crucial to spreading the word about volunteer events among the underclassmen, and helps out with organizing SERV activities!
